Henry Casey Obituary

Henry Rogers Casey, 73, of Roanoke County (Ballyhack), Va., passed away on Monday, April 19, 2010, peacefully in his home. He was born March 13, 1937, to the late John and Florence Casey. He was educated in the Roanoke County public school system. Henry was employed with the City of Roanoke for 15 years, Fred Whitaker for 22 years, and retired from Mohawk in 1998 after 15 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by two children, Donna Casey and Rogers "Doc Weaver" Casey Jr.; brothers, Albert and Paul Casey; and sisters, Maxine Starkey and Ann Casey. Survivors included his children, Patricia Casey, Norma Jean Mills, Vincent (Debbie) Casey, Joyce Casey and James Casey, all of Roanoke; brothers, Jerry (Shirley) Casey, of Youngstown, Ohio, Donald (Ok Hui) Casey, of Madison Heights, Va., David (Dana) Casey and George Casey; sister, Lillie Hickman, all of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Davis officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. Friends may call on Sunday afternoon for viewing at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
