Howard R. Weaver, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013. Mr. Weaver attended Windsor Hills Baptist Church. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Enoree in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre and was a Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth A. Weaver; and parents, William A. and Eva Mae Weaver. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Adams, of Hoschton, Ga.; grandson and wife, Brian and Julie Adams, of Flowery Branch, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Reid and Ava Adams, of Flowery Branch, Ga.; sisters, Dorothy Guthrie, Peggy Perdue and husband, Carroll, all of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Phyllis Weaver, of Fredericksburg; and good friends, Roger and Brenda Peters.

Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel noon Wednesday, June 26, 2013. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Oakey's South Chapel.
