Bro. J. O. Grooms lived the Gospel out in front of us and opened our eyes to the lost around us, while at Liberty, over 30 years ago. What a legacy! We lift you all up in prayer.

I loved going to JO Grooms' Personal Evangelism classes where he would call people on the phone and share about salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
What a wonderful testimony and a great witness.

Dear Pastor Mike, Edith, and all the Grooms family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow, yet joyous home going of your dad. I wish I had the opportunity to have met him, but feel I have done so through his ministry and just reading so much about him. God surely used him as one of His instruments here, and what an impact he has made all over the world! I feel very blessed to know the Grooms family and see what a wonderfully molded family Mr. Grooms left as a legacy. May the Lord wrap His loving arms around each and every one of you throughout this time. ~Philippians 4:13 ~

I had the honor of having Brother Grooms in three churches that I pastored, and I Thank God for him. Shortly after a stroke, Brother Grooms called me, and with some difficulty said, "Brother Phil...I just had to call and tell you that I am still a Fundamentalist." My heart soared with his example of faithfulness to the Lord Jesus Christ and his courage in suffering affliction. Brother Grooms was the real deal! To God be all the glory for the life and ministry of J. O. Grooms!

I first met JO Grooms when I became a Christian in 1988. He preached at my Church in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He introduced the Treasure Path To Soulwinning to us and I dedicated myself to memorizing scripture. Thanks to brother Grooms I've been memorizing the Bible the past 23 years using his system. I just learned today at a Preacher's fellowship in Alabama of his going home. He was indeed a man of God and had an impact on me and the ministry God has giving me today. Thank you bro. Grooms, we'll meet again at a glorious reunion soon at the Lord's soon return

Pastor Grooms, Renee and family..I never got the honor to meet your father..I have heard many great things about him tho..Judging from the remarkable family he has raised, he had to be an awsome father, person and a real live saint.. I know God is and will be with and bless each of you with comfort during this joyous yet sad time..My love to all

Mr. Grooms witnessed to me in Kroger on Link Road in the produce department! I'll never forget it. I still have my treasure path book. I was a new Christian at the time, that really impacted me. His dedication to telling the world about Christ is an inspiration to us all. He certainly was a soul winner. Prayers to his family.
