Jack was one of the finest gentlemen I have had the honor of being associated with, and a fine surveyor as well. He was one of the few people I have met who knew somebody wherever we went and could face any problem with a twinkle in his eye, a big grin on his face and his wonderful sense of humor. Sandra and I are praying for Joyce and the family.
Jack was certainly one of God's blessings to the world-

I am saddened to learn of Jack's passing. He was truly an inspiration to be around, always positive and upbeat, giving his best to make others feel better. That is the Jack Carter I know. I am sure he will be missed by all who knew him.

Jack was a good friend, a good neighbor and the best darn story teller that I have ever known. God is probably smiling right now after hearing one of Jack's stories of rural Virginia humor. He will be missed by many.

Very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I worked with him for a couple of years in the surveying business. I enjoyed working with him. He was a good man.

We will miss Jack's smile and sense of humor. The two of you were a beautiful couple, and had many wonderful years together. HB and Donna
