John William Knapp

John William Knapp, 64, of Dublin, Va., died on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at his home. He was born in Springfield, Ohio, on May 18, 1945, and was the son of the late James W. Knapp and Helen Grove Knapp. Mr. Knapp was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the Dublin Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Stroupe Knapp, of Dublin; brother, James Knapp, of Springfield, Ohio; sister, Mary K. Jones and husband, Raymond, of Athens, Texas; brother-in-law, William Stroupe, of Lake Alfred, Fla.; nephew, William Robert Stroupe and son, Landon, of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and close friends, Freeda, Greg, and Ricky Wright, of Dublin, Va. A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, from the Dublin Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeanette Tagg officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
