Laura Wilson Obituary

Laura Brown Wilson, 86, of Roanoke, ended her courageous battle with cancer at her home on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. She was born August 14, 1923, in Dallas, Texas, to Frank and Mary Clyde Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Brown and Mary Clyde Brown Devine, of Round Rock, Texas. A native of Kilgore, Texas, she is survived by her son, Tommy Limbaugh and wife, Vickie; grandson, Blake Limbaugh, of the United States Air Force; granddaughter, Shanna Richmond and husband, Ryan, of Deer Park, Texas ; three greatgrandchildren, Nathan, Lauren, and Kinsley; and brother, Bev E. Brown, of Carthage, Texas. Before moving to her beloved Roanoke Valley in 1989, Laura retired from General Motors Acceptance Corp., (GMAC) after 37 years of service. Laura leaves friends in many places, including her four legged companion, Molly MacGillacuddy. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at 4 p.m. at Salem Presbyterian Church, 41 East Main Street Salem, Va. 24153. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in memory of Laura.
