Margaret Lamey Obituary

Mrs. Margaret Witt Lamey, 90, of Roanoke, Va., went to her heavenly home on April 7, 2010. She was born October 14, 1919, in Bonsack, Va. to the late Rev. Silas and Dotie Witt Sr. She was also predeceased by her husband, Cleveland "Winfield" Lamey; two sisters; and five brothers. Survivors include her sister, Louise Smith, of Roanoke; a devoted niece, Nancy Divers; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a faithful member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church where she served as church musician for many years. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 12, 2010, 11 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Friends may call at Serenity Sunday, 2 to 8 p.m. for viewing.
