Marie Davis Obituary

Marie Snyder Davis, 81, of Roanoke, Va., went to her well deserved rest in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. She loved keeping and decorating her home and collecting antiques. She also had a great love for the Gaither Vocal Band and gospel music. Surviving family include her husband of 61 years, Kent E. Davis Sr.; son, Kent E. Davis Jr. and fiancée, Sandy Stinnett; brothers, Charles R. Snyder, Bobby L. Snyder and John W. Snyder; grandson, Jason K. Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2010, at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Roanoke with Chaplain Marvin Barbre officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice and her caregivers, Connie Sexton and Cora Thomason. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or a charity of choice. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home, Roanoke. Online condolences may be made at www.lotzfuneralhome.com
