Me and my husband Sergio lived across the street from Martha for the last 5 yrs. that she was home. We loved her dearly. From day one when we moved on Orchard St. her and her husband, Lester, were so friendly to us. They made us feel very welcome. Everyday when I came home from work, Martha would be sitting out on her front porch and I'd go over and sit with her. She loved to talk and share stories of how life was for her growing up. And I loved hearing the stories just as much. She was the most caring person I've ever met and she was just like grandma to my son. She will be greatly missed by me and my family and, I'm sure, by many more people.
