Nancy Horton Obituary

Nancy Mae Horton, 88, of Hillsville, Va., passed away on Monday, April 5, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Horton was born in Carroll County to the late Victor and Mary Bertha McGrady Dickerson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. (Tom) Horton. She is survived by her son, Dr. Bobby Kenneth Horton, of Hillsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Carolyn Horton and Maynard Joyce, of Hillsville, Patricia Ann and Marvin Lee Taylor Jr., of Allisonia, Debra Jean Horton, of Mt. Airy, N.C., and Sharon Lea and Lee Edward Effler, of Radford; sister, Martha Princess Jennings; granddaughters and spouses, Ashleigh Payne, Jamie and Jeremiah Seagle, and Trista and Kevin Trail; and greatgrandchildren, Katelyn Payne, Kaleb Payne, and Kyleigh Payne. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Vaughan-GuynnMcGrady Chapel with Pastor Dustin Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday night, April 7, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. A guestbook is available online by visiting www. vaughanguynnandmcgrady.comVaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
