Paul Lugar Obituary

Paul Harvey Lugar, 85, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. He was a member of Southview United Methodist Church and a former member of Melrose United Methodist Church. He was a retired yard Conductor for Norfolk Southern and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy H. Lugar; sisters, Lillie Mae Wood, Pauline Pagan, Alma Byrd and Bessie Britton. He is survived by a son, Paul K. Lugar and wife, Peggy, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Paul K. Lugar Jr., of Bolder, Colorado and Stefanie D. Lugar, of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. E. E. Dick Jones and the Rev. Larry Edmonds officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
