Philip Andrew Stevens Sr., 92, of Fincastle, Va., died on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Margaret Williamson Stevens; parents, Herbert E. and Sally Spigle Stevens; brothers, Louie and Herbert E. Stevens Jr.; and sisters, Juanita Otey, Louise Strickler, Edna Hinchee, Mary Moler, and Bessie Stevens. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Philip A. Jr. and Gale Humphreys Stevens, of Roanoke; granddaughter, Elizabeth Sayre Stevens, of Roanoke; brother, Warren Stevens, of Fincastle; brotherin-law, Harry Mac Williamson, of Fincastle; and sisters-inlaw, Louise Snyder, of Roanoke, and Noreen Williamson, of Fincastle. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010, in Wheatland Lutheran Church with the Rev. Cecie Haxton officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Va., 540-254-3000.
