Robert Embert Obituary

Robert L. Embert, 70, of Mount Airy, N.C., died Saturday, May 8, 2010. He was the son to the late Robert L. and Bernice Beck Embert. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Rodney Embert, Larry Embert; and sister, Mary Ann Whitley. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Embert; children and spouse, Robert L. Embert Jr., Charlotte, and Brian Tucker, Timmy Embert, Nancy Hair, and Pam Lucas. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Billy and Charlie Embert, Kenny Embert, Robin and Rosie Embert, Lonnie and Carlene Embert, Audrey Embert, Bonnie Embert Smith, and Barbara Wood. Surviving also is special friends, Jack and Tish Arrington. The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home Wednesday, May 12, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010, from The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd, County. Online condolences may be sent by visiting HorneFuner alService.com.
