Ronald Ingram Obituary

Ronald Ingram, 79, of Roanoke, Va., was born on October 20, 1930, and left this world on Saturday, May 8, 2010. As a young man, he served his country in the Air Force, then he worked at Norfolk & Southern as a Brakeman on the yard and retired in 1986. He enjoyed his retirement until he became ill. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Thomas and Annie Ingram; one brother, Herman; and two sisters, Ima Reigel and Myra Kilpatrick. Surviving members are his sister, Reba Bowles; brothers, Leon, Vernon and Wendel; and he will be greatly missed by his loving companion of 30 years, Betty Moore and her family. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Lotz Salem Chapel. Interment will follow in Ingram Family Cemetery, Ferrum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem, Va.

To the family of Ronnie-You are in my prayers, he was an awesome man, I've known him from the time I was a little girl,he always promised me that when I grew up, He was going to marry me. Ms. Betty you were so blessed to get to spend you life with him, he has always been a very handsome man, he was blessed with that beautiful head full of hair. He will be greatly missed. Ms. Betty and family I will continue to remember you in my prayers.
