Stephen Scott (Scoot) Lawhorn, 39, of Roanoke, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, January 17, 2013. He is survived by his parents, Forrest and Shirley Lawhorn; two children, Cody and Sarah Hope Lawhorn; brothers, Charles Greenway Jr. and wife, Terry, and David Lawhorn; sister, Victoria Greenway; aunt, Melba; uncle, Jerry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was also survived by his girlfriend, Shelly Phillips and her children, Kaitlyn, Kendra, Maddie, and Mason.

He was a longtime employee of Magic City Ford Company. Scott had a big heart and was a loving and kind person to everyone. He was a guitarist for the Half-Hellion Band that played all over Roanoke.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
