Virgie Mae Broughman, 75, of Botetourt, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born December 22, 1937, a daughter of the late, Charlie D. and Lena M. McFalls. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lou Roach. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Earl Francis Broughman; three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Shorten (Jim), Margaret Gibson (Freddie) and June Hampton (Glen); one brother and sister-in-law, David McFalls (Hazel); one sister, Ruby Weaver; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-Grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Virgie's life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Rader Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Swafford officiating. Burial to follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
