Billy Grove and my late uncle Jack Malcolm were best of friends. Both were also in the Pacific theater of WWII. Another one of the greatest generation has passed on.

My Great-Uncle Bill was a special part of my life. I grew close to him in my adulthood and genuinely enjoyed his company, from our monthly "date nights" while I was at Hollins to our shared vacations to Grove family gatherings. He was always quick with a smile and loving gesture, and he could really "cut a rug"! Though I will miss him, I feel blessed to have had his company for so many years.
