Albert Casey, 61, of 21077 Snow Creek Rd., Penhook, Va., passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010, at his residence. Born January 9, 1949, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late James Lester and Nannie Kate Hancock Casey. Prior to his disability, he was employed as a tree engineer and was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. Surviving are his wife, Audrey Hancock Casey, of the residence; two sons, Rashard Casey (Claudia) and Dion Casey (Tiffany), both of N.J. ; two daughters, Ivy McGhee, Newark, N.J., Corine Shehadeh (Nayel), Clinton, N.J.; a stepdaughter, Veronica Finch, Alexandria, Va.; five brothers, Thomas Casey, Penhook, Va., James Casey (Peggy), Capitol Heights, Md., Richard Casey (Shirley), Roanoke, Va., Ralph Casey (Leola), of Rocky Mt., Va., and Steve Casey, of Md..; four sisters, Lucille Marley (Robert), Durham, N.C., Norma J. McCoy (Nathaniel), Betty F. Goad (Wilmer), and Josephine Moorman, all of Rocky Mt., Va.; a special nephew, Arak McCoy , Missouri; ten grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Miller Funeral Home by the Rev. Gerald Mahan with interment in the Hancock Family Cemetery in Penhook. Miller Funeral Home, Gretna, is in charge of the arrangements.
