Lucille Ball, 100, of Wytheville, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012. She was born on February 13, 1912, in Oakland, Md., daughter of the late Edward and Myrtle Holden Sembower. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ball; daughter, Barbara Galinsky; son, George Ball; and six brothers and sisters. Lucille served as a secretary with Prince George County Police Department and attended Bland United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Masano and John, of Coppell, Texas, Elaine Shepard and Ernest, of Chesapeake City, Va., and Beverly Taylor and Buddy, of Bland, Va.; son, Frank Ball and Judy, of Waldorf, Md.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Bland Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Shannon Marie Berry officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Morning Star Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bland United Methodist Church.
