Joan Hall Rasnake, 79, of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mack Rasnake; parents, Boyd and Stella Hall; and a brother, Donald (Bud) Hall. Joan retired from the City of Roanoke as a dispatcher for the police department. Mrs. Rasnake was a member of Melrose Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Terry Lynn Ayers and husband, William; grandson, Andrew Ayers; granddaughter, Allyson Ayers all of Glen Carbon, Ill.; sister, Betty Franks of Decatur, Ala.; sister-in-law, Betty Hall of Martinsville; and two nieces and a nephew.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013, at Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. Brenda Rowe and the Rev. Helen Riley will officiate. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Oakey's North Chapel.
