Dorothy Stephens
LUMBERTON – Mrs. Dorothy Burchette Stephens, 84, of Lumberton, passed away on Feb. 6, 2014, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Raft Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, the Revs. Mark Hall and Larry Hayes officiating.
She was born in Robeson County on June 29, 1929, to the late Luther Lee Burchette and the late Ruby Estelle Parnell Burchette.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lee Stephens; two sons, Terry Stephens and Ronald Stephens; a brother, Johnny Burchette; and her grandson, Daniel Westbrook.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by three daughters, Karen Hardee, Pamela Westbrook and Felicia Hardee and husband Tim, all of Lumberton; four sisters, Rebecca Herring and Frances Davis, both of Lumberton, Barbara Townsend of Iron Station, and Carol Johnson of Rock Hill, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St., Lumberton.
