Alva Bell Scott MAXTON — Alva Bell Scott, 61, of 93 White Oak Drive, entered into eternal rest on May 22, 2016, at her home surrounded with her loved ones. She was born on Aug. 10, 1954 to her parents, the late Eldon Bell and Madgaline Locklear Bell, in Robeson County. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 40 years, Tilden Scott; a son, Frankie Scott, of Maxton; a daughter, Crystal Locklear and husband, Kevin, of Maxton; two brothers, Michael Locklear and Kenneth Bell, both of Maxton; two sisters, Wanda Jones, of Maxton, and Sylvia Scott, of Gibson; five grandchildren, Cody Scott, Kyra Locklear, Blake Scott, Madyson Locklear and Kyrsten Scott; a special sister-in-law, Lisa Scott; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Cherokee Chapel Holiness Methodist Church in Maxton. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Cherokee Chapel Holiness Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Cherokee Chapel Church Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Locklear, Rev. Crawley Locklear and Rev. Joe Glenn Locklear will be officiating. Professional Services entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home, Red Springs.
