John D. Baker ROWLAND — John D. Baker, 50, of Rowland, died April 22, 2015, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Rowland. Burial will follow in Southern Grove FG Baptist Church Cemetery in Rowland. The body will lie in state for viewing a half hour before the funeral.

Ellis, Ava - Lumberton  
Ava Ellis LUMBERTON — Mrs. Ava Gray Pittman Ellis, 88, of Lumberton, passed away April 29, 2015, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on May 16, 1926, to the late Clarence Pittman and the Ava Belle Pittman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Eunice Pittman; her husband, Edison Ellis; and a brother, Wallace Ray Pittman. She is survived by two sisters, Linda Galacci of Lumberton and Sharon England and husband Richard of Charlotte; a brother, Roger Pittman and wife Dorothy of Lumberton; three nephews; and two great-nieces. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton, the Rev. Bruce Brumfield officiating. Bonnie Jackson ROWLAND — Bonnie Raeford Jackson, 74, passed away April 29, 2015. Mrs. Jackson was born in Dillon, S.C., on Dec. 7, 1940, to the late Welcome Lewis Raeford and Gertrude Finnegan Raeford. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, James Gerald "Jimmy" Jackson. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Britt of Dillon, S.C.; two grandchildren, Cortney and Brandi; as well as host of other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Rowland Cemetery, the Rev. Thomas Allen officiating. The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Boles Funeral Home in Rowland.

Linda Mae Rising Larke SEA LEVEL — Linda Mae Rising Larke, 67, of Sea Level, formerly of Supply and Lumberton, died April 29, 2015, in Snug Harbor Nursing Center. She was born on May 13, 1947, in Robeson County, a daughter of the late Barnum and Annie Neil Bodiford Rising. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James Robert Risen and wife Juanita Risen of Lumberton. She retired after 30 years as a math teacher in the Robeson County Public Schools. Surviving are her husband, John Peter Larke of Ocean Isle Beach; her daughter, Allison Parker of Emerald Isle; three brothers, Steve Rising (Ann), Bradley Neil Rising, and Archie Rising (Susan), all of Lumberton; three sisters, Lillian Rising Wolfe of Raleigh, Louise Rising Hilburn (Douglas) of St. Pauls, and Pam Rising Sisson (Wyatt) of Lumberton; and two grandchildren, Kevin Nance Parker and Elizabeth Allison Parker. A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, the Rev. David Guy. The visitation will be one hour before the service at the chapel. A celebration of life will also be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Floyd Mortuary in Lumberton. The visitation will follow the service. Leake, Timothy - Clarksville, Tn  
Timothy Leake CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Timothy Leake was born May 31, 1972. He departed this life April 23, 2015, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. Timothy Leake graduated from Lumberton Senior High. He served proudly in the US Army. He also attended Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn. He studied Environmental Management. He is survived by his parents, Willie T. Leake Sr. and Louise M. Leake; three brothers, Willie T. Leake Jr., Terry Leake, and Thomas Leake; a sister, Leresa Leake Graham. He also leaves behind Katie Ehnat, Tyson M. Ehnat (Leake), Leah A. Ehnat (Leake), Mia Jo C. Ehnat (Leake), Sharmaine Leake, and Dakota Robinson (Leake). The funeral will be held at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home in Clarksville, Tenn. The services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. A celebration of life will be held at Barkers Mill Church of Christ, 1251 Tiny Town Road, Clarksville, Tenn. 37042, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
