FAIRMONT — Charles William Hopper, 86, of 507 Floyd St., Fairmont, passed away Dec. 15, 2013, at Greenbrier Retirement Center in Fairmont.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, the Rev. David Anderson officiating.

Mr. Hopper was born on March 24, 1927, in Nassau County, N.Y.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edith Hopper; and his wife, Pearl T. Hopper.

He is survived by three sons, Randy Hopper of Lumberton, David Hopper of Wilmington, and Donald Hopper of Huntington, N.Y.; three daughters, Elaine Redavid of Bellmore, N.Y., Debbie Gosline of Farmingdale, N.Y., And Robin Martinez of Fairmont; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southeastern Hospice at 2002 N. Cedar St., Lumberton, N.C. 28358.
