FAIRMONT — Jimmy Baker Willoughby, 82, of Fairmont, passed away on March 30, 2014, at his residence.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dogwood Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was born in Robeson County on April 30, 1931, to the late Charlie Willoughby and the late Grace Ellis Willoughby. He previously worked in maintenance at a textile plant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Michael Hunt and Steven Hunt; and a sister, Peggy Sommers.
Mr. Willoughby is survived by his wife, Linnie Rose Willoughby of the home; his sons, Carl Willoughby of Bladenboro, Thomas Hunt of the home, James Hunt of Lumberton, Billy Hunt of Charlotte, and Tony Grice of Fairmont; his daughters, Kathy Packer, Julia Packer, Tammy Willoughby, and Carol Willoughby, all of Lumberton, Ana Lindsay of Hinesville, Ga., Teresa Carter of Fairmont, and Glenda Callahan of Lumberton; his brothers, Alton Willoughby and Robert Willoughby of Lumberton; three sisters, Annie Ruth Smith of Lumberton, Olga Byrd of Fayetteville and Reba Taylor of Deland, Fla.; 36 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Jamie Hunt; and his sons-in-law, Luis Pulanco and Charles Lindsay.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.
