FAIRMONT — Kathleen Hunt Oxendine, 92, of Fairmont, passed away Oct. 20, 2013, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Harvest Church of the Assemblies of God, the Rev. Terry Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in McDonald Church of God Cemetery.
She was born July 2, 1921, in Robeson County to the late Jessie and Beadie Hunt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Carlie Oxendine; a daughter, Gwendolyn O. Frazier; and a son, Emanuel Oxendine.
She is survived by three sons, Carlie Lennon Oxendine and wife Bernice of Fairmont, Ronnie E. Oxendine of Fairmont, and the Rev. Terry K. Oxendine and wife Linda of Lumberton; five daughters, Doris Whitman and husband Fred of Wilmington, Annie Nora Dial, Wilhelmina Eachen and Sheila Hunt, all of Fairmont, and Tara Chavis and husband Billy of Rowland; a brother, Hoover Hunt of Winston-Salem; 34 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Kathleen Laverne Dial; and a special friend, Letha Mae Scott.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont, and other times at 7268 E. Raynham Road in Fairmont.
