LUMBERTON – Mrs. Willa Mae Brooks, 77, of Lumberton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on , July 3, 2014.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at McDonald Holiness Church in McDonald, the Rev. Franklin Bartley and Marvin Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Brooks family cemetery at the home.

She was born in Robeson County on Nov. 28, 1936.

Mrs. Brooks leaves to cherish her memories with her husband, James Earl Brooks of the home; three sons, Billy (Minnie) Brooks of Lumberton, Gerald (Phyllis) Brooks of Fairmont and Charles Brooks of the home; two daughters, Lisa (Terry) Oxendine and Janice Jackson (Earl McMillan), all of Lumberton; two brothers; six sisters; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held at the home on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at 1932 Dallas Road in Lumberton.
