Aaron Coty Lowry
MAXTON — Mr. Aaron Coty Lowry, 30, of 245 Pine Forest Drive, Maxton, was born March 31, 1984, to Ms. Tina Ann Locklear and the late Mr. James Hampton Lowry and departed this life on June 1, 2014, at Willamsport Hospital of Willamsport, Pa.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Island Grove Baptist Church, the Revs. David Hunt and Herbert Lowry officiating. Burial will follow in Lumbee Memorial Gardens of Lumberton.
Mr. Lowry was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. Herbert "Jimbo" Lowry and Mrs. Gertrude Lowry; his maternal grandfather, Mr. Lacy Ervin Locklear and stepfather, Mr. Ricky Hunt.
Mr. Lowry leaves to cherish his memories his fiancée, Ms. Cekina Locklear of the home; two daughters, Miss. Irena Eryn Lowry of the home and Ms. Lexia Jade Lowry of Pembroke; his mother, Ms. Tina Ann Locklear and her friend, Mr. Julius Sanderson of Pembroke; a sister, Ms. Heather Lowry of Pembroke; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie Lois Locklear of Pembroke; a special nephew, Mr. Lacy Hayden Lowry of Pembroke; also his fiancée's family, Mrs. Karen Kerns, Michael Locklear Jr. and Crystal Gayle Kerns, all of Maxton; and a host of relatives and friends.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel.

Coty you are the most amazing man I have ever met. You stood up for something that others ignore. You were a real man! I commend you in the highest form. When you can light up a room with your voice, smile, and great personality you do not die and you cannot be forgotten. Although your physical body is left behind, your spirit lives in every person who has been blessed to had been in your presence.
