ROWLAND — Arister Oxendine, of 114 Grantham Loop Road, went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2014, a journey of 78 wonderful years.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel, the Revs. Ricky Burnette and Lennie Jacobs officiating.
He was born May 2, 1935, to the late Irene Oxedine.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lena Bell Oxendine; a grandson, D.L. McGirt; and a brother, Layton Oxendine.
He leaves the cherish memory of his wife, Arminda Oxendine of 57 years; a special granddaughter, Vallane Oxendine of the home; a friend, Timothy Turner Jr. (T.J.); and a host of beloved family and friends. Also, thanks to a special care giver, Lisa Oxendine and Dr. Paul Gordon.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.
