FAIRMONT — Billy Ray Hunt, 65, of Fairmont, passed departed his journey on Dec. 31, 2013, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant View Baptist Church, the Revs. Ricky Burnett, and Lacy Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Church Cemetery.

He was born July 30, 1948, in Robeson County to the late Luther and Minnie Lowery Hunt. He attended Pleasant View Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Willie Howard Hunt; and two sisters, Flora Oxendine and Isabel Hunt.

Family members left to cherish his memories are his wife, Minnie Pearl Hunt of Lumberton; two daughters, Jennifer McDougal and Jennie Addison, both of Lumberton; three sons, Brian Locklear and Billy Jack Hunt both of Lumberton, and Donnie Ray Hunt of Fairmont; four sisters, Mary Frances Oxendine, Queen Esther Hunt and Sallie Mae Clark, all of Fairmont, and Katie Oxendine of Lumberton; two brothers, James Luther "Luke" Hunt, of Lumberton and Yancy Hunt of Laurinburg; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchild; and a special niece and nephew, Minnie Lee Hunt and Phillip Hunt.

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont, and other times at the home of his sister, Francis Oxendine, 507 Franklin St., Fairmont.
