LUMBERTON — Mrs. Denver Jo Parker, 68, of Lumberton, passed away on March 3, 2014, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

The funeral will be 7 p.m. today at Long Branch Baptist Church, the Rev. Jeff Broadwell officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Singletary family cemetery, Old Boardman Road in Bladenboro.

She was born in Robeson County on Aug. 25, 1945. She was a longtime member of Long Branch Baptist Church and member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Britt's Fire Department and Lumberton Rescue.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband, Roger Parker of the home; her son, Boyd Walters of Boardman; her sister, Caroline Rising and husband Avery of White Oak; and a grandchild, Denver Walters and wife Brooke.

The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Long Branch Baptist Church in Lumberton.
