LUMBERTON — Dr. Frank B. McGrath, 74, of Fayetteville, formerly of Lumberton, passed away July 30, 2014, at N.C. State Veterans Hospital of Fayetteville.

A memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church of Lumberton, Pastor Gene Wayman officiating. Burial will conclude at Meadowbrook Cemetery of Lumberton.

He was born in Robeson County on Sept. 8, 1939. He owned and operated a private dental practice in Lumberton from 1966 to 2003. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 27 years, where he was a colonel, a Dental Unit commander from the years 1984-1987, and he was active duty during Operation Desert Storm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Frank B. McGrath Sr. and Lillian Odum McGrath.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Debi B. McGrath of the home; his daughter, Ginny Queen and husband Doug, and their children, Evan, Connor, and Lauren of Cary; his sons, Tripp McGrath and wife Megan of Raleigh, and Chris Jackson and wife Ruby, and their children, Matthew and Madison, of St. Pauls; his sister, Marilyn Bullaboy of Winston-Salem; his brother, Malcolm McGrath and wife Rita, of Port St. Lucie, Fla; and his nieces, Kristin Conrad and Kim Reucassel.

The visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc. of Lumberton.
