RED SPRINGS — Lucille Faircloth Merritt, 82, of Red Springs, died Oct. 22, 2013, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel-Red Springs, the Rev. Dr. Beverly Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Philadelphus Presbyterian Church Cemetery
Mrs. Merritt was born in Robeson County on Jan. 15, 1931, to the late Gentry Faircloth and Ruth Martin Faircloth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Merritt.
She was a member of the Philadelphus Presbyterian Church. She was employed with Faberge and later retired from Carolina Manor in Lumberton.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Merritt of Red Springs; her granddaughter, Heather Chavis (Eugene) of Red Springs; two great-grandchildren, Tyndal Chavis Locklear (LeMichael) and Trae Chavis; two great-great-grandchild, Landon Locklear and Tessa Locklear; and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel-Red Springs.
