ORRUM — Rochelle Burnett Harlee, a native of Orrum, daughter of the late Melvin Burnett and the late Josephine McDowell Burnett, departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh.

She was a graduate of Orrum High School and obtained an associate's degree from Hardbarger Jr. College in Raleigh.

Rochelle, wife of the late Wendell Harlee Sr. of Rowland, will be remembered for her selfless understanding and love and leaves to mourn her memory and celebrate the life she lived her son, Wendell Harlee Jr., two daughters, Cynthia Harlee LoMonaco, and Sandra Harlee Amagwula, and a grandson Anthony Ellis, all of Raleigh; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Braddy, Daisy Richardson, and Bernice LaPompe of Lumberton; and a host of nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, god children, in-laws and close friends.

The viewing will be held at the Carlton Gray Funeral Home in Raleigh on Saturday at noon with services immediately following the viewing. Internment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Raleigh.

Officiating pastor will be Paul McDowell.

Paulbearers will be grandson, Anthony Ellis, grandson; nephews, Mark Lynch, Lemorris Burnett, Andrew Campbell, Jerome Campbell; and a God son, Edward Lockhart.
