LUMBERTON — Wilma Louise West Edwards, 97, of Lumberton, passed away on Oct. 28, 2013, at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at East Lumberton Baptist Church, the Revs. LeRoy Burke and Michael Bowen. Burial will follow in West family cemetery.
She was born in Robeson County on May 2, 1916, to the late Shelton West and the late Della Willoughby West. She was previously employed by Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Edwards; four brothers; and three sisters.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by two sons, Walter Stephen Edwards of West Jefferson and David Alan Edwards and wife Mary of Monroe; two daughters, Sandra Edwards Cook and husband Ronald of Ellerbe and Adella Jeanne Davis of Riegelwood; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and special caretakers, Candace McMillan and Sheila Carter.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St., in Lumberton.
