CLAYTON, Del. — Adam Michael Hughes, of Clayton, Del., passed away on Jan. 18, 2014, as the result of an automobile accident.
He was 25.
Adam was born Jan. 30, 1988, in Newark, Del., the son of James (Jim) Michael Hughes and Sonya Fullene Locklear Hughes of Clayton.
Adam enjoyed riding his street bike and ATV's, golfing, crabbing, eating and going to church every Sunday.
He was a free spirited young man who recently started a new life walking with the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Hughes, who were from West Grove, Pa.; his maternal grandparents, Fuller and Delora Locklear, who were from Lumberton, N.C.
In addition to parents, he is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, who were a big part of his life; and many friends.
The visitation for family and friends will be 5 p.m. Thursday at the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., in Smyrna, where funeral services will begin at 6 p.m.
A second visitation for family and friends will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Hill Baptist Church, located at 2660 Shannon Road, Lumberton, N.C., where funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Bethel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
