ORRUM — Emily "BeBe" Ivey, 52, died April 13, 2014, at the Southeastern Hospice House after a 15-month fight with lung cancer.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Floyd Memorial Chapel, Pastor Gary Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Ivey family cemetery in Orrum.
Emily resided in Orrum with her mother, Alice Stone Ivey. Emily was a member of Orrum Baptist Church for many decades.
Emily was preceded in death by her father, J.R. Ivey Jr. of the home; her brother, Dickie Ivey of Orrum; her maternal grandparents, Palmer and Sadie L. Stone of Long Branch; and paternal grandparents , Redmond and Emma B. Ivey of Orrum.
She is survived by her mother, Alice Vivian Stone; two brothers, John P. Ivey and wife Marilyn of Concord, and Robert Gerald Ivey and wife Peggy of Fair Bluff; two sisters, Vickie Grooms and husband Allen of Long Branch, and Allison Marie Cummings and husband Ricky of Red Springs. Emily has had a very special friend, Mitchell Connor, for at least 30 years and special friends, Timmy and Stephanie Morris of Alaska; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins who adored her.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton.
