Debra Lynn Jones

LUMBERTON — Mrs. Debra Lynn Hunt Jones, 59, of 809 Singletary Church Road, died on May 18, 2014, at her residence.

The funeral will be held on 3 p.m. Thursday at Smyrna Baptist Church, the Revs. Roosevelt Scott, Sam Henderson and Shelley Dial officiating. Interment will follow in the Robeson Memorial Park.

Mrs. Jones was born in Lumberton, Robeson County on Oct. 8, 1954.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Hunt and Isadora Johnson Hunt Oxendine; her husband, Joseph Jones; a brother, Chris Elton Hunt; and a granddaughter, Amber Lynn Locklear.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her son, Matthew Jones (Ciera) of Pembroke; two daughters, Candace Jones Locklear ( Jeremy) of Red Springs, and Janet Marie Jones of the home; a special niece, Heather Renee Lowery of Lumberton; three brothers, J.L. Oxendine ( Dinah), Jeffrey Dean Oxendine and Mark Oxendine (Pam), all of Lumberton; three sisters, Karen Hunt Clark ( Welford), Cheryl "Beanie" Hunt Lowery ( Jimmy), and Edith Allen ( Darryl), all of Lumberton; five grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Revels Funeral Home Lumberton.
