Tabatha Chavis
PEMBROKE — Tabatha Chavis, 43, of 515 N. Jones St., was born on Sept. 30, 1969, to the late Mr. Joseph (Shot) Chavis and Mrs. Shirle Raye Jacobs Chavis in Robeson County. She departed this life on Sept. 12, 2013, at her home.
A homegoing service for Ms. Tabatha Chavis will be 3 p.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home in Red Springs. Interment will follow in the Community Holiness Church Cemetery, the Revs. David Locklear and Ricky Burnette officiating.
She was preceded in death by her father; her maternal grandparents, Sanford Jacobs and Lizzie Jacobs; and her paternal grandfather, Joseph Chavis.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Casey D. Chavis and wife Charlina of Pembroke; a daughter, Briona S. Chavis of Elm City; her mother, Shirley Chavis of Pembroke; two brothers, Douglas Chavis and wife Jennifer of Hope Mills, and Nicky Hall and wife Tina of Pembroke; three sisters, Shirleen Robinson and husband Rev. Govenor of Elm City, Josephine Harris and husband Roy of Lacoma, and Wendy Yanick of Pembroke; her paternal grandmother, Myrtle Thompson of Maryland; two grandchildren, Haley N. Chavis and Payton N. Chavis; a special cousin, Christine Locklear; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home, Red Springs, N.C.
