ORRUM — Mary Louise Lawson Britt, 85, of Orrum, arrived in her Heavenly home on Sept. 16, 2013, at Southeastern Hopice House in Lumberton.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, the Revs. Warren Hill, W.C. Baxley, Robert Britt and Gary Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
She was born on June 22, 1928, to the late James Arthur Lawson and the late Polly Barnes Lawson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rowland Caswell Britt; two brothers, Horace Lawson and Ray Lawson; and two sisters, Neures Ivey and Helen Christman.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Arthur Rowland Britt and wife Bonita of Orrum; her brother, Billy Lawson of Saluta, Va.; her grandchildren, Chris Britt and wife Marissa, Miranda Chavis and husband Chris, and Ross Britt and wife Ashley; seven great-grandchildren; a special niece, Alice Faye Britt; a dear friend, Grace Baxley; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Penny.
The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton.
