ROWLAND — Vicky F. Locklear, 49, of 6890 Elrod Road, Rowland, was born Nov. 28, 1963, in Robeson County, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 11, 2013.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, the Rev. Steve Strickland Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Vicky dedicated her life to serving and caring for patients in Robeson County. She fulfilled this lifelong mission while working with Southeastern Regional Medical Center. Vicky served others with a willing heart, but most importantly, she served God first. Vicky was saved at the tender age of 11. Her life service was her testimony. Vicky left memories that will be treasured in our hearts forever. To have known her was an honor and privilege.
Mrs. Vicky Locklear was preceded in death by her father, James A. Clark, and a brother, Master David L. Clark.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Mickey Locklear of the home; her mother, Susan Clark of Rowland; a sister, Doralene Kinlaw (Jerry) of Rowland; two brothers, Kenneth R. Clark (Elaine) of Rowland, and Timothy W. Clark (Charlene) of Pembroke; a stepson, James D. Locklear of St. Pauls; two stepdaughters, Cassandra Locklear of Lumberton, and Jamie Locklear of the home. She has five loving nieces; two adoring nephews; and a great host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. today at Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
