LARRY WEBB Obituary

Larry Allen Webb, age 56, of Covington, departed our lives on Friday, June 18, 2010. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2010, 3:00 PM at Horis A. Ward's Rockdale Chapel, 1999 Hwy 138 SE, Conyers. Larry was born in Warren, Ohio to the late William and Clara Webb. He grew up in Good Year, Arizona after a family move in 1964 and attended Alhambra high school before joining the U.S. Army in 1971. In 1976 Larry met Teresa Rice (his wife of 34 years) and they spent most of the early years of their marriage traveling across the country before settling in Conyers, Georgia to raise their five children. Those who knew Larry knew there were two things he loved most in this world-his family and fishing. During any given conversation you were likely to hear the latest about either the grandkids or a new gadget he'd bought for his fishing boat. He was equally proud of both and liked to share that with everyone he met. In 2006 he retired from the construction company he owned and he and Teresa purchased a home near Jackson Lake in Covington where he spent nearly everyday on the water with his fishing poles. Larry is survived by his wife Teresa and their children; Lindsey (Jess) Hodges, Conyers, Scott Webb, Thomasville, Morgan (Crystal) Webb, Covington, Mitchell Rice, Covington and Katie Rice, Conyers. His grandsons; Colby Ayers, Garrett Webb, Gage Webb and his siblings; Bob Webb, Gary Webb and William Webb of Phoenix, AZ. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-3 PM at the funeral home, 770-918-8851. Online condolences may be made at: horisawardrockdalechapel.com.

Teresa, Scott, Morgan, Crystal, Lindsey, Mitchell, and Katie (and Colby, Gage, and Garrett)...my DEEPEST sympathies are with your family at this time. Even though it's been a while since we've seen each other, I hope you all know I still care for your family. I am completely taken back by this and my heart goes out to you all. I will always keep my memories of Larry close to my heart - and never forget the times he took us fishing!
