Samuel Barnes Obituary
Samuel Barnes, 66, departed this life on August 22, 2015.
Samuel's memories will live on forever with his family; his loving and devoted wife, Darnella Gaskins Barnes - his ("Baby Doll") his two sons, Samuel Eugene Barnes (Renee) and Darnelle Alexander Barnes. Two granddaughters, Ke'Ara Temple-Barnes, Daija Temple-Barnes; one grandson, Amari Richardson-Barnes (mother - Samantha Richardson); one special goddaughter; Romeika Allen; two god-grandchildren, Keone Best and Olivia Richardson, all of Rocky Mount. Stepmother, Addrine Barnes of Wilson, NC, step grandmother, Naomi Strange of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers: Elder Luther Barnes (Pam), Elder Melvin Barnes (Martha) of Knightdale and Tony Bernard Barnes (Renee), one stepsister Elder Demita Edmundson (James) of Wilson, NC; one godsister, Cassandra Davis Hammond (William) of Goldsboro, NC.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Word Tabernacle Church. Internment will follow at Gardens of Gethsemane. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.lm. at Restoration Worship Center.
Arrangements entrusted to Hunter-Odom Funeral Service.
