ATLANTA - Coretta Scott King, 78, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2006. On Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, Mrs. King's body lay in state from noon to 8 p.m. in the rotunda of the State Capitol at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Washington Street in downtown Atlanta. She will lie in state again from 10 a.m. to midnight Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at the historic Ebeneezer Baptist Church, located at 520 Auburn Ave., next to the King Center that Coretta Scott King founded in 1968. Also, from noon to 1 p.m. there will be a memorial musical celebration at the Ebeneezer Baptist Church Horizon Sanctuary, which is across the street from the church on Auburn Avenue. Mrs. King will lie in state again on the day of her funeral from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.
