Arthur N. Faller, 92 , of 203 Dogwood Court, Rocky Mount, NC and formerly of Oil City died early Monday morning March 25, 2013 at his home following a period of declining health.
Art and Gail moved to Rocky Mount in 1993 to be closer to their two girls.
Born Sept. 19, 1920 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Norbert A. Faller & Anna V. Fasenmyer Faller.
He was married to Gayle M. Dockery on April 9, 1946 in St. Stephen's Church and she survives.
While living in Oil City he was a member of St. Stephens Church and Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rocky Mount
He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife and children and later in an RV. Later in life, Art and Gayle enjoyed traveling the east coast in their RV and spending their winters in FL.
He was a 3rd Degree member of the OIl City K of C Council 385 and a member of the 4th Degree Assembly and the Color Corp.
A member of the VFW, The Disabled American Veterans, the 77th Infantry Division Association, the Rocky Mountain Amateur Radio Club and the International Accountants Society.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 children
Carol- Lee A. Umstead & Amos (Butch) of Rocky Mount, NC Daniel S. Faller of Rocky Mount, NC Gary C. Faller & his wife Debra of California, MD Greg A. Faller & his companion Dolly M. Hartzell of Rocky Mount, NC Michele M. Strickland of Raleigh, NC 11 grandchildren 18 Great Grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren 1 brother Raymond Faller of Franklin 1 sister-in-law Bernice Faller of Oil City.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Ralph, Gene and infant Richard.
Friends will be received from 4-5 P.M. and again from 7-9 P.M. Wed. in the Wheeler and Woodliff Funeral Home in Rocky Mount. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Home visitation. Mr. Fallers remains will then be transferred to the Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory in Oil City, pa.
