Kim, I was so sorry to hear about your Father's passing. He was a man who loved loved his family especially his little girl. I remember coming to visit your family and having such a great time with you all. Please remember you always have family in Virginia Beach.
Love you and may God bless you and your family at this time.

Kim, thinking of you at this time and wanted to share the first time that I saw Ruth at David & Rosa's house. I was four years old and it was just before Grover Lee and her got married. My family was there for a visit and Ruth was in the kitchen with others cooking some candy and when she came out and came close to me I acted real shy because she was so pretty and I could not look at her directly. Grover Lee was so talented and interesting. In the 50's I remember he had a Polaroid Land camera as they were called back then. I also remember when he had the sporting goods store in Rocky Mount. You had such wonderful parents and they are missed.

What a beautiful tribute! I knew Grover through my dad, Wes Bailey. He was a remarkable man with a generous spirit.

This was a very inspirational story and I enjoyed reading it so much. I am so sorry you lost your dad. I knew your mom very well. She and my sister Kat worked together for many years. She was definitely one of a kind. I never had the pleasure of meeting your dad,but after reading this I feel I missed a legend. You are in my prayers. God bless you during this time of sorrow.

I have read obituaries when I would wonder if the things said were true. There was no such thought with Grover's. My acquaintance with him Was long starting when I joined the Pittman family in the sixties. I knew him to be a fine gentleman, always helpful and an all around good, honest person. His well lived life is an excellent blueprint for us to follow. You continue in my thoughts.
