Henry Crozier Obituary
Tracy was a very diverse and interesting man. He attended Benvenue School and graduated from Gwyn Park H.S. in 1957. Tracy attended Maryland University, leaving to join the U S Marine Corp. While serving, he attained the rank of Corporal. He enjoyed drag racing, gardening, 50`s doo wop music, traveling, restoring his 1964 GTO, and he also renovated an old farm house in Maryland. While in Maryland, he ran two successful businesses. He was employed by Gould Inc. as project manager on an underwater sonar device for submarines. Later, he became a purchaser for McCormick Spice Co. in Baltimore. Moving to Rocky Mount in 1989, he owned and operated Phillips Body Shop on Falls Road, previously owned and operated by his uncle, Alwyn Phillips. Tracy was also a member of the Rocky Mount Ruritan Club and a charter member of the Marine Corp League.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Pam, Daughter, Aimee and husband Tim, and grandchildren, Noelle and Christian Scheuer, his sisters, Genie Wilson of Florida and Susan Crozier of Maryland, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry A. Crozier, Alice Fuller Crozier Hamilton, step-father, Mitchell Hamilton, and his precious little niece, Sherri Leigh Wilson.
Memorial services honoring his life will be held Thursday January 12, 2012 at 1:30 PM in the chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations, English Road Location, Father Tim Meares, officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until time of the service
The family would like to say a very special, "Thank you" to all of the EMT personnel, Nash General Hospital, and Pitt Memorial. They all did their very best with the greatest skill and respect for our family.
