NASHVILLE - James Lester Haywood, 70, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014. He was born in Wilson County, December 2, 1943 to the late Dorcie Lester and Bertha Jenkins Haywood. Jim was retired from CSX Railroad.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Dent-Haywood; sons, James Jr., Phillip, Bob and Tim Haywood; daughter, Beth Haywood-Winders; grandchildren; Robert, James and Phillip Haywood; Jonathan and Tricia Ruffin; Steven and Rebecca Sullivan; great grandchildren, Rylie and Ryah Ruffin, Trinny, Jocey, and Cynthia Andrade, and Zayden Hawkins.
A service to celebrate his life will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
