Pauline Carpenter Bissette, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour February 18, 2014. Pauline lived her life serving Christ and helping others. She served as a dedicated, faithful church member of Living Faith Fellowship for 60 years. She was born in Nash County September 10, 1926 to the late Paul Jacob and Mattie Jackson Turner. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bissette was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph David Carpenter; her late husband, Elmer Bissette; son, Ronald Wayne Carpenter; brother, George Melton; and sister, Mae Grubb.

She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Risley; daughter in law, Nan H. Carpenter; sister, Candace Bradley and husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Brandon and Sandy Grizzle, Ron Carpenter, Jr., Jewell Carpenter Wilson; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Living Faith Fellowship Church with Pastor Danny Harris officiating and Pastor Ron Carpenter, Jr. assisting. The family will receive friends from 12:30 -2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
