NEW BERN ~ Doug Strange, Jr., 65, formerly of Rocky Mount, went home to be with his Lord Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Duke University Medical Center.

Doug was a member of Antioch Free Will Baptist Church. He is notably remembered for performing in the Four In Christ Quartet and The Embers.
He is survived by his wife, Anne K. Strange; his mother, Mary H. Strange of New Bern; son, Doug Strange and wife, Nicole of Cleveland, TN; brother, Danny Keith Strange and wife, Jenny of New Bern, sister, Mary S. Brinn and husband, Phillip of New Bern; brother-in-law, Mike Kelly of Camden, SC; two grandchildren, Megan Strange and Michael Strange; and several nieces and nephews, J. C. Kelly, Kathy Farmer, Greg Harris, Jody Harris, Jim Kelly, Christopher Kelly Chip Van Name, Patrick Van Name, Keith Strange, Molly Matthews, Melanie Strange, Andrew Strange, Jodi Brinn and Phillip Brinn, Jr.
There will be a Homegoing Celebration at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 19 at Antioch Free Will Baptist Church, 762 Antioch Road, New Bern. The family will receive friends at the church 10 ~ 11 a.m. Saturday, just prior to the Celebration.
